The Unseen Aware for Trailblazers is for individuals that want to create change within their own organisation, and want to learn the skills to be more empathetic towards customers and colleagues who may have an unseen disability or condition.
Over 80% of all disabilities are hidden (of course, we say 'unseen'!). So it is difficult enough to identify if someone is struggling. But what if you did know, or if someone approached you and told you? What would you say? What would you do? What would you think?
The Unseen Aware movement is for organisations. But we want to have as much impact as possible, and recognise that many people want to learn how to engage with colleagues and strangers alike, if they are struggling because of disability, or a condition you just can't see.
So we've created the Unseen Aware for Trailblazers to give individuals the opportunity to learn about the Unseen Aware movement, learn about unseen disabilities and conditions, and some valuable skills when engaging with someone who may have a disability or condition that is unseen.
We are also aware that many people want to create change within their own organisation, and these may not have joined Unseen Aware. So we provide our Trailblazers with information, insight, statistics and strategies to improve disability awareness within their own organisations, and support them if they wish to help their workforce become "Unseen Aware".
Usually the cost for the 12 month's educational programme is £30 per person, however, as this is the launch, we are pleased to offer the Unseen Aware for Trailblazers programme free for a limited time.
On signing up, you will be given access to 'the Hub', which you will use your email address and password to access. On accessing the Hub, you will be able to complete the Trailblazers eLearning training.

On completing the initial eLearning, you will become a qualified Unseen Aware Trailblazer! You'll receive a virtual badge which you can use as you begin your Trailblazer journey, and join the many other Trailblazers who want to create a more inclusive society.
In addition to the eLearning, you will receive two types of emails.
The first are the Trailblazers educational emails. These will be delivered weekly and will cover topics such as:
They will also include "Unseen in 15" lived experience video interviews. These are desiged to be short (15 minute) interviews with indivdiuals living with one or more unseen disability or condition, so that you can improve your empathy and engagement with others who may have an unseen disability or condition.
These emails are part of the Trailblazer education, and will be provided for 12 months from when you sign up.
The second type of emails will keep you uptodate with the progress of the Unseen Aware movement, what people have said about it, how it is growing, and who has joined. You'll also be encouraged to have your say, get involved and shape the direction of the Unseen Aware movement. These emails are optional, and you can unsubscribe at any point.
